During this special event, players adventuring through specific zones in Dragonflight and The War Within expansions—particularly those under level 80—will have the chance to uncover mysterious treasures simply by defeating creatures or completing quests.
As you battle your way through these regions, keep your eyes peeled for Mysterious Satchels, rare loot bags brimming with surprises. These satchels may contain a wide range of valuable and curious items: consumables that temporarily boost your stats, whimsical visual effects for your character, and even gear tailored to your current level and specialization. Also tucked inside are potions that grant a 10% experience bonus, which conveniently stacks with the already active 20% event experience buff—bringing the total possible bonus to 30%.
But that’s not all. Once per day, the first satchel you receive won’t be just any satchel—it will be a Pristine Mysterious Satchel. This enhanced version offers increased chances at securing higher-quality rewards, making it worth your while to log in daily and grab it while you can.
The experience-boosting potions found in these satchels are Warbound items, meaning they can be transferred among your characters on the same account. You can choose to consume them during the event to level up more quickly or save them for your other characters between levels 10 and 79 after the event ends. However, take note: stat-boosting or elemental potion effects obtained from the satchels will not function in Mythic+ Raids or in any rated PvP settings.
Catch-Up Buffs to Help You Soar
To help players make the most of this event, the Winds of Mysterious Fortune buff grants a 20% experience boost for characters between levels 10 and 79. Whether you’re working through unfinished storylines, catching up on alternate characters, or preparing for endgame content in The War Within, this buff is your ticket to faster progress.
In addition to the experience gain, the event also boosts major faction renown rewards: +200% renown gains for major factions located in Dragonflight zones, and a +100% boost for certain major factions found in The War Within zones. Just keep in mind that Undermine factions are not included in this bonus.
